Cables circulating the globe

So how does the interwebs get around the globe? You’d be surprised that we are all actually physically linked by a planet sized array of cables, pipes and tubes. But interglobal web isn’t new, only the way we communicate has changed. In 1901 a massive network carried telegrams over land and under oceans. Although 100 years ago lol catz were sent in morse code, and took about 1.5 seconds per word to get through.
